Early Beginnings

Life Fitness began when the Lifecycle exercise bike was invented by Dr. Keene Dimick, a chemist, in the 1960s. The company celebrated a milestone in 2001 when the 500,000th Lifecycle bike was manufactured. 6 years after, in 2007, the company creates and introduces the Elevation Series – the first cardio workout equipment that boasts of iPod compatibility.

In 2011, Augie’s Quest Limited Edition Lifecycle was introduced to the market to help raise awareness and funds for ALS research.
