All About The Glass Used In Most Military Vehicles
Military vehicles are indeed built for durability, protection against highly-advanced weapons and defence. The materials used to make these military vehicles are not just durable but have certain features that can withstand enemy attack. And when it comes to the glass used in most military vehicles, manufacturers always see to it that it is strong enough to withstand extreme weather conditions resistant to being penetrated with struck by an enemy.
These military vehicle manufacturers use bulletproof glass which is also referred to as ballistic glass or bullet-resistant glass. Although this kind of glass is very strong and durable, it is also very clear providing the military vehicle passengers a clear vision of the surroundings. Although this glass is not really 100% impenetrable, it provides protection and safety.
This bulletproof glass is made of a combination of two or more types of glass. It is constructed using polycarbonate and laminated glass layers. And although very thick, it is ensured to be very clear to provide an undistorted view of the surroundings.

The First Vehicles Manufactured By Nissan
Although the Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. was only formally established in Japan in 1933, the company has already released their first vehicle in 1914, under the automobile brand, Datsun. This car was called DAT.
Between 1958 to 1986, only vehicles exported by Nissan were identified as Datsun. However, in 1986, Nissan phased out the Datsun name but re-launched it in 2013 as the brand for low-cost vehicles manufactured for emerging markets.
Earliest Nissan Vehicles
In 1937, Japan released the country’s first mass-produced vehicle. This was the Datsun Type 15. Other Type 15 models included a mini pickup and delivery van. The Datsun Type 15 car’s engine type was 4 cylinders. It had an engine displacement of about 747 cc. The maximum power of the engine was pegged at 15hp and had 3-speed transmission type.
Another noteworthy Nissan vehicle was released in 1957. This was the Nissan Skyline. This is the predecessor to the revolutionary Nissan GT-R®. This rear-wheel drive coupe has never been commercially available in America, but it has always been a highly sought-after import.
In 1958, the Datsun 1200 Sedan was introduced in the market. It was also the first Datsun that was introduced into the US market as the 1000 Sedan. It utilized the same platform as the Datsun pickup truck. From 1959 to 1961, the 1000 sedan sold 146 units in the US until it was replaced by the 1200 sedan which sold 1318 units. This vehicle has been a part of the Heritage Collection since 1983.
The next year (1958), the first Datsun compact pickup was sold in America. Initially imported with a 37-hp 1000-cc engine, it was soon given a boost with a 48-hp 1200-cc engine. This quarter-ton pickup firmly established Datsun in the American market.
In 1960, Datsun enters the sports car market. Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A. (NMC) was established in Gardena, California. In the same year, the SPL 201, Datsun’s very first sports car, was introduced. This sleek 4-seat roadster featured a fold-down soft-top, a "4 on the floor" transmission, and a 48-hp engine (that would be replaced by a powerful 85-hp version).

Why School Buses Are Yellow
Basically, school buses are yellow because the law requires it in most countries. Yellow was chosen because it is noticed quickly than any other color in peripheral vision.
Did you know that the yellow family of colors get your attention faster than any other color? Compared to red, many experts point out that yellow is more visible to the human eye under dimmer conditions. People notice yellow objects first.
These is the practically the main reason why law requires school buses to be painted in yellow. It is for safety rules and regulations. Drivers will still be able to see yellow cars and any moving vehicle fairly well in bad weather or even if there is fog.
Other interesting facts about school bus:
- In 1827, Newington Academy for Girls in England had the first school bus which was a horse-drawn carriage.
- School bus had cloth curtains instead of glass windows back before 1920.
- Wayne Co. in the 1930’s built the first steel body school bus. This is the era when truck designs are being customized and turned into a modern school bus chassis.
Parents would agree that school buses are so far the safest mode of transportation for getting their children back and forth to school. Studies also show that students are more likely to arrive at school safe and breathing if they take the bus than if they drive their car, ride with friends or even parents drive them off to school.
