The Most Common Lawn Problems
Lawn care and maintenance can be really a challenge. Most homeowners find it hard to achieve that healthy and green lawn because there are several different lawn problems they encounter. And though some homeowners hire lawn care experts to help them, most just do the tasks themselves to save money. Check out below the most common lawn problems.
- Weeds. There are many different types of weeds and although some are nice to look at, they can actually be bad for your lawn as they fight the grass for space.
- Moss. Moss often comes out during spring and autumn. Lawn that are in the shade are often affected by moss and those that are placed in areas with poor drainage.
- Pale grass. This is the most common lawn problem that many homeowners deal with. Grass becomes pale due to the lack of nutrients. For this, it is recommended to feed the grass with nutrient-rich treatments.
- Worm casts. During autumn, worm casts are very common. If ignored, these can be a good ground for weeds to grow. To solve this, let the casts dry up and sweep them away using a stiff broom.
