Nurses Invade World Records

Nursing is one of the noblest professions in the world and the most lucrative one in some countries. No wonder many are pursuing the course despite their increasing number. Because of the huge demand of nurses today, did you know that they even landed spots on the Guinness Book of World Records? Yes, nurses hold world titles.

In 2014, 691 people dressed as nurses gathered in Dubai, UAE making a world record as the largest gathering of people dressed as nurses. Not only did they earn a record for dressing as nurses, they also participated in a marathon wearing a nurse’s uniform. Caroline Pleasence from United Kingdom beat other runners in a nurse uniform and gained the title as the fastest marathon in a female nurse’s uniform. In a male nurse’s uniform, Michael Harris got the title and he is also from the United Kingdom.

They also participated in the world title for most blood pressure readings taken in eight hours. In 2012, 8676 people were assisted by the Society of Students of Pharmacy in cooperation with the Scientific Circle of Young Doctors and Nursing Students at Lublin, Poland.
