Nursing is one
of the noblest professions in the world and the most lucrative one in some
countries. No wonder many are pursuing the course despite their increasing
number. Because of the huge demand of nurses today, did you know that they even
landed spots on the Guinness Book of World Records? Yes, nurses hold world
titles.
In 2014, 691
people dressed as nurses gathered in Dubai, UAE making a world record as the
largest gathering of people dressed as nurses. Not only did they earn a record
for dressing as nurses, they also participated in a marathon wearing a nurse’s
uniform. Caroline Pleasence from United Kingdom beat other runners in a nurse
uniform and gained the title as the fastest marathon in a female nurse’s uniform.
In a male nurse’s uniform, Michael Harris got the title and he is also from the
United Kingdom.
They also
participated in the world title for most blood pressure readings taken in eight
hours. In 2012, 8676 people were assisted by the Society of Students of
Pharmacy in cooperation with the Scientific Circle of Young Doctors and Nursing
Students at Lublin, Poland.
