Greatest leaders are visionaries with huge ambitions. They are resilient, hard-working, and positive. Also, they have the ability to help and inspire others reach their potential. Oftentimes, the best leaders underwent failures in their lives. Having learned from their impediments, they’ve driven on to greater successes.

Mahatma Gandhi – He is a proponent of non-violent civil disobedience. He helped lead India to independence from the British Empire. This has inspired civil rights movements worldwide. He has organized campaigns for women’s rights, an end to religious pluralism, poverty, and self-governance for Indians.

Winston Churchill – He was an excellent orator, speaking with vigour and passion. His failures as a cabinet member motivated him to succeed in his second coming as a politician. Despite being ill, he still continued his political career after the war. With resilience and great passion, he continued as prime minister until he retired at the age of 80.

Napoleon Bonaparte – He is considered one of the greatest military leaders of all time. Under his command, the French army has conquered much of Europe. In 1804, he became the Emperor of France. His leadership skills aided him to bring an end to lawlessness and disorder in his home country. He was known for his great risk taking.

Nelson Mandela – He became a true global figurehead, highly respected worldwide. In 1994, he became the president of his home nation, and started the process of rebuilding a country divided along racial lines.

Abraham Lincoln – He is a self-educated man known for his humility, honesty, and humanity. Apart from his role in the American Civil War, he helped modernise the US economy.
